Blackfoot pool committee approved plan to upgrade pool

The Save the Blackfoot Pool committee has another plan to upgrade the Community Pool.

The city council voted and approved a plan of 3.7 million dollars for renovations.

The plan will be on the ballot next year.

There won’t be a new design, but the money will go toward a new pool liner, filters and a new ceiling.

“It would leave everything in the same configuration, but it would be, it would replace, the ceiling would be done, we would get a new liner, and some new equipment,” said Jeanette Spears, Aquatics Manager. “That was voted on by the council and it was a three to one that they agreed the bond be put back on the ballot in May.”

The community will vote next May on the proposed renovation plan.
