Man accused of killing Challis woman pleads not guilty
A Challis man was arraigned in a Custer County courtroom Wednesday on two charges, including the murder of a beloved Challis woman.
53-year-old Mark Charles Wilson is charged with first-degree murder, premeditated by poison, torture, vengeance, extortion or sadistic inclinations for the killing of 75-year-old Patrica Ann Brown.
If found guilty, Wilson faces up to a minimum of 10 years to life in prison, also a $50,000 fine.
He also is being charged with the use of a firearm while committing a murder. If found guilty, that increases the original minimum charge by up to 15 years in prison.
Wilson pleaded not guilty to both charges.
His trial is currently set for December 3rd through the 7th in Challis.
