Bonneville County joins aggressive driving mobilization

Extra patrol officers are hitting Idaho’s streets as part of an effort to look for aggressive drivers and speeding violations. The enforcement action begins today and continues through August 3rd.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said the enforcement would focus on the most dangerous infractions that lead to fatal accidents, like speeding and aggressive driving.

Lawmen advise that traffic laws exist to keep traffic moving as safely as possible. They said being in a hurry does not give drivers the right-of-way around other traffic.

Aggressive driving includes more than speeding violations. Other common infractions include failure to use turn signals, not coming to a complete stop at stop signs, and obeying all traffic control devices.
