Demolition done to start museum expansion

You will notice part of the Museum of Idaho is now just a pile of rubble. Bulldozers got to work today to demolish the education center to make way for the 20-thousand square foot expansion.

Construction should be done within the next 18-months.

“The building was actually originally a Kentucky Fried Chicken and then it was another restaurant after that. It was not built to be a museum building or an education building of any sort. We made due with what we had and we’re really excited to have education space and more exhibit space that is really designed to be a museum space,” says Jeff Carr, public relations.

They plan on having a live stream of updates on construction in the next few days.
