More than 2,500 customers without power

UPDATE 5:20 p.m. Idaho Falls Power reports the majority of the west side of Idaho Falls is estimated to have power back on within the next two hours.

Neighborhoods around 7th Street will be out an estimated four to six hours as crews repair a downed pole.

33rd North and 5th East area has wires down and are looking at a one to two hour outage.

Customers on or near Utah Avenue are looking at a four to six hour outage because of a downed pole.

Crews are currently working to assess and address the damage that is causing the outages.

Individual services could be out longer as crews address larger outages first.

UPDATE 4:10 p.m. There are about 2,500 customers without power.

There are multiple outages throughout the city.

Fire Department crews are responding to downed power lines, numerous power outages and downed trees.

The Idaho Falls Power outage map shows about 2,000 customers are without power throughout the city of Idaho Falls.

Those outages started occurring around 3:20 p.m. and appear to be storm-related, but the exact cause is unknown at this time.

Crews are responding to the outages.

About 2,000 customers in the area of S 35th W and W 33rd South are without power.
