2 juveniles identified as Fox Hollow Elementary vandals

UPDATE 7/27/18: Idaho Falls Police report the vandals came forwards late Wednesday.

Officials say two males under the age of 13 broke the windows at Fox Hollow Elementary School.

Police say one of the males did most of the damage. Formal charges are being filed against him. Officials are recommending restitution as part of the court case.

Police are still working out what to do with the second male.

IFPD said a neighbor was suspicions, and that is why police were looking in the area which in turn prompted the juveniles to come forward.

This is the third case in six weeks were the public helped police crack the case.

UPDATE 3:17 p.m.: Three prior vandalism reports were made regarding broken windows at Fox Hollow Elementary in July.

Tuesday, July 10th at 7:00 a.m.: report of one broken window Thursday, July 19th at 12:55 p.m.: report of one broken window Monday, July 23rd at 6:00 a.m.: report of two broken windows Tuesday, July 24th at 6:00 a.m.: report of 17 broken window panes

Police suspect the vandalism incidents which reportedly occurred on July 23 and 24 may have been done by the same person or people.

If anyone has information about any of these four incidents, please immediately contact police by calling Idaho Falls Public Safety Dispatch at (208) 529-1200.

Idaho Falls Police report sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, vandals damaged 17 windows at Fox Hollow Elementary.

The school custodian discovered the damage early Tuesday morning and notified police.

All of the broken windows were external, and there were no signs of entry into the school.

Most of the windows were double pane glass, which are expensive to replace.

Officials estimate the damage at approximately $7,000.

Police are seeking your help to find the suspect(s).

A surveillance camera captured a pickup truck enter the parking lot around 11:30 p.m. and exit the lot approximately an hour later. The truck is dark in color and is a newer model, but more review of surveillance needs to be completed before police will have more information.
