One juvenile is dead following a four wheeler accident in Jefferson County

Two juveniles involved in a 4-wheeler accident, left one dead in Jefferson County.

Saturday morning around 10 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office dispatch got a 911 call about a 4-wheeler accident with injuries at 1577 N. 1950 E. Terreton, Idaho. The Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene.

Upon investigation, the Sheriff’s Office found two brothers from Arizona, a 15-year-old male and an 11-year-old male, who were riding a 4-wheeler in a hayfield.

The 15-year-old was driving and lost control of the 4-wheeler, which caused it to overturn and land on the 11-year-old and severely injured him.

The 11-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, neither of the juveniles were wearing helmets.

Life flight was dispatched and then cancelled. The Jefferson County Coroner also responded to the scene.

The 15-year-old is with his parents and extended family. The brothers were visiting family in the area.
