Ririe man dies in dump truck accident
A man from Ririe was killed in an accident Friday afternoon in Island Park.
Idaho State Police say the accident happened just after 5 p.m., westbound US-20 at milepost 386, in Island Park.
ISP says, “Robert D. Kessler, 44, of Ririe, was traveling eastbound on US-20 in a 2017 Kenworth dump truck hauling gravel when the vehicle left the paved portion of the highway and went off the right shoulder and then rolled, coming to rest on its side. Kessler succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
Kessler was not wearing a seatbelt.”
The road was blocked by emergency vehicles for approximately one hour. Idaho State Police was assisted on scene by Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
