Man arrested after high speed chase ends in Pocatello
A man is behind bars after a police chase ended in Pocatello Sunday night.
Police say Jeffery J. Johnson stopped in the Gold’s Gym parking lot but refused to get out of the vehicle.
After a few hours police were able to take Johnson into custody without incident.
The chase started when an officer on foot saw a reported stolen car.
But Johnson took off before they could get to him.
Bannock County sheriff deputies picked up the chase — following Johnson just outside of the city limits.
The chase eventually ended at the Gold’s Gym parking lot.
