ISP Investigates after Teenage Driver and Underage Passenger Die in Overnight Crash

Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal crash that happened around 11:30 PM on Tuesday night.

Two minors were killed on US 20 at milepost 344 near Saint Anthony. 60-year-old Elmer Nelson of Idaho Falls was stopped in fuel tanker at a railroad crossing when a Chevy Pickup rear-ended him.

A teenager was driving the pickup along with an underage passenger. They were not wearing seatbelts and were killed. The highway was blocked off for four hours, but has since been reopened.

Family members have been notified. The names of the two that died will not be released due to their age.
