Mother asked to ‘cover up’ while breastfeeding covers her own face instead

A breastfeeding mom was asked to “cover up” at a restaurant where she was vacationing in Mexico.

The mom from Texas complied with the request in a creative fashion that’s gone viral.

In a Facebook post, Carol Lockwood says Melanie Dudley was told to cover up while feeding her baby, so she did–covering her face with a cloth while the baby continued to nurse.

In the post, Carol says she’s “SO over people shaming women for nursing” and confirms that “it was a man who asked her to cover up, it was 90 degrees and extremely humid, and, no, she wasn’t in a Muslim country disrespecting traditions.”
