Pocatello K9 officers receive bulletproof vests
The Pocatello Police Departments canine officers will be much safer, thanks to lifesaving pieces of equipment.
Recently, the department applied for and received a grant to purchase four ballistic vests to protect the police dogs.
The vests were made possible by a grant from the Gavin Buchanan Memorial Foundation which raises money and awards grants for training, ballistic vests and other safety equipment for police canines.
