Idaho Falls police car involved in crash

An Idaho Falls police car was involved in a two-car crash Thursday night. The accident happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on North Woodruff Ave., just north of Kearney Street. Both cars were traveling north on Woodruff.

The cause is being investigated. A Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputy said the IFPD cruiser was turning left to make a traffic stop and the civilian car passed on the left side. There were no reported injuries.

The investigation is currently ongoing. Because the crash involved IFPD, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s office is the outside agency handling the investigation.
