Region 7 Idaho Republicans hold annual barbecue

Region seven of the Idaho Republicans held its 46th Annual Rally and Barbecue tonight.

The event featured music, dinner and Republican candidate for Governor Lt. Governor Brad Little as the keynote speaker. Event organizers say tonight is a chance for the public to get to know candidates in the upcoming election. It’s also a fundraiser for region seven, which includes nine counties. The Republican Party also uses the event to spread a message of unity for the upcoming election.

“It’s all about getting our message out of as to what the republican philosophy is, what our candidates stand for, and to let the public know that we have good, solid, common sense individuals that will propel Idaho as we want it to be and not have an extremist type of atmosphere in our state,” said Ann Rydalch, Region Seven Chair for the Idaho Republican Party.

The barbecue is one of two events that region seven Republicans hold each year.
