Steamboat Geyser erupts 16th time in 2018

The Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone National Park erupted for the 16th time in 2018 Saturday night.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the geyser erupted at 11:21 p.m.

Yellowstone Guidelines captured video of the August 22 eruption. You can watch that below.

USGS said the geyser has decided to follow a semi-regular pattern of erupting every 6-8 days over the past two months; however, it has been 5 days, 2 hours and 9 minutes since the last eruption on August 27.
