Idaho Falls man injured in US 26 crash

An Idaho Falls man was hospitalized after a crash on westbound U.S. 26, east of Idaho Falls at around 7:09 p.m. Monday.

Idaho State Police said Daniel Waisbrot, 84, was traveling westbound at milepost 340 in a 2012 Ford Fusion at a low rate of speed. His car was struck from behind by a 2006 Subaru Tribeca driven by Kaitlin Dardorff, 26, of Ririe. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Waisbrot was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was treated and released.

The highway was blocked for about 45 minutes as a result of the crash.
