Work to begin on Carmen Levee repairs

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $154,000 contract to rehabilitate flood-damaged areas of the Carmen Levee System on the Salmon River in Lemhi County.

The levee was damaged by high flows during the 2017 flood season.

The Corps’ Walla Walla District awarded the contract to S.E.A. Construction, LLC August 27. The work was scheduled to begin Thursday and will take about a week to complete.

S.E.A. Construction is a woman-owned, small business in Raymond, Washington.
