IDOC moves more inmates to Texas

Due to a shortage of beds in Idaho’s prisons and jails, the Idaho Department of Correction has moved 150 male inmates to the Eagle Pass Correctional Facility in Eagle Pass, Texas.

They arrived Wednesday at 3:20 p.m.

Idaho now has 406 inmates at the facility.

Idaho also has 150 inmates at the Karnes County Correctional Center in Karnes City, Texas.

The Idaho Department of Correction expects to have 700 inmates out of state by Nov. 1, 2018.
