Big projects cause Museum of Idaho to put off Christmas exhibit this year

The Museum of Idaho has some big, upcoming plans for the next year, but it does not include it’s annual “Olde-Fashioned Christmas” exhibit.

The MOI says that they have loved putting on the holiday display for the past 10 years but because of its expansion they cannot this year. The construction going on right only gives the museum a small window in which they can load exhibits in and out.

“That’s why our “Discover Steampunk” exhibit is staying in the museum,” said Jeff Carr, public relations for MOI. “It is stuck in here until January and then we’ll load that out and load the new one very quickly at that point.”

MOI is under construction in phases. The current expansion phase should be finished summer of 2019. Then soon after that is finished, the construction on the current museum will go on until spring 2020.
