Homecoming bon fire set in Rigby Wednesday
UPDATE:
The homecoming bon fire went off as scheduled Wednesday night.
Despite high fire danger, the annual Homecoming Week bonfire tradition will carry on in Jefferson County.
However, this year’s even will be carefully overseen by the Jefferson Central Fire District.
The fire department said it’ll start around dark and will be large.
A fire engine and firefighters will be standing by at the Middle School and the department assures that great care will be taken to make sure it all goes safely.
Passerby or residents of the area may see some large flames, so don’t be alarmed.
