Pocatello school lockdown lifted, all schools to be released at normal time

UPDATE: At approximately 2:25 p.m. Thursday, the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 administration was notified about a neighborhood incident that began near Wilcox Elementary.

Officials say the incident moved toward the vicinity of Hawthorne Middle School, and the school was placed on lockdown.

According to officials, the incident was ultimately resolved on Alameda Road.

No students were ever in danger.

The matter was resolved by the Pocatello Police Department.

District officials say all schools will be released at the normal time.

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 reports Hawthorne Middle School has been placed on lockdown as of 2:20 p.m. due to a threat in the neighborhood.

The Pocatello Police Department has been notified and is investigating.

The district reports students are safe.

Officials ask you do not call the school.
