Bonneville County K-9 Deputy passes away

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is sad to report the loss of K-9 Deputy Tessa and who passed away Wednesday afternoon.
Tessa was due to be retired from service very soon and had been suffering from an ongoing illness for quite some time.

Tessa’s handler and partner Sgt. Jason Sorenson came together in 2007 and worked together up until these past several days.
Tessa was a multi-purpose K-9 trained to search, find drugs and apprehend criminals

Over these past 11 years, Tessa and Sgt. Sorenson were part of taking countless amounts of drugs off the streets of our community and keeping it safe from those who do harm.

The sheriff’s office would like to thank Sgt. Sorenson for his dedication and care of Tessa along with their hard work as part of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office team.
