Pocatello Firefighters and City Council Support MDA with Annual Fill the Boot Drive

The Pocatello Fire Department is showing their support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through their annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser event. This money raised through this campaign goes towards helping kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle debilitating diseases live longer. Today, this campaign has thrived for over 60.

Firefighters and city council members from Pocatello will be on W Quinn and Pole Line intersection, and the El Rancho and Hiline intersection, holding boats out for donations. This event starts at 10:00 a.m. and will run through this evening until 5:30 p.m.

Contributions also help fund groundbreaking research and life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and Care Centers, including the MDA Care Center at the University of Utah Neuroscience Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. They also help send local kids to “the best week of the year” at MDA summer camp – all at no cost to their families.

The fill the boot campaign will continue through this weekend. Tomorrow, Idaho Falls Fire Department will be at Hitt and 17th Street collecting money all day. If you didn’t have cash on you while driving by and would like to donate money, go HERE.
