Old Town takes part in PARKing Day 2018

Today, stores and restaurants in Old Town Pocatello, took part in reimagining parking spaces we use every day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. parking spaces were decorated with lounges and activities lining the Old Town strip. There were cornhole games set up, coffee lounges and even a zen nature garden.

This event is apart of a much larger movement called the PARK(ing) Day. Originating in downtown San Francisco, PARK(ing) Day has spread across the United States and grown in popularity in major cities. This movement is geared towards creating a fun outdoor experience where people from the community can come together and enjoy a new usage of space, a parking space.
