Hwy 26 Brush Fire located near milepost 361 and 363

UPDATE 9/22/18 5:35 p.m.: All fire and emergency personnel have cleared and the fire is out. Roads that were temporarily closed are now open.

ORIGINAL: Multiple agencies are fighting a brush fire in the area of highway 26 between Mile Post 361 and 363.

This is near the Little Pine Creek Rd, Antelope Flats Rd, and the Antelope Flats Loop.

Deputies are working to contact property owners in the area at this time.

Strong winds are causing low visibility and blowing smoke across highway 26 prompting emergency personnel to close the highway temporarily.

The Sheriff’s Office advises travelers and residents to avoid this area and obey any road closures or traffic control so that emergency personnel can safely work.

Any property owners in that area are asked to contact dispatch at 208-529-1200 or a deputy nearby for safety information.

We do not know how long traffic may be delayed and will update more information as soon as we can.
