Stateline Road up for Teton County adoption

The Teton County, Wyoming Board of County Commissioners is proposing to designate two sections of road near Alta, Wyoming as official county roads.

The two sections of road run from the intersection with 6000 North to a point slightly south of the 5000 North intersection.

County officials said they are taking the action to improve response time for fire and ambulance and ensure the lives and safety of Teton County residents.

Under review for many years, engineers have prepared plans for improvements to the road and plan to release them for bids over the winter. Construction is tentatively planned for 2019, if the sections are approved for adoption as county roads.

Public meetings on the proposal were conducted last May.

Commissioners will consider the final designation at a public meeting on Tuesday, October 2.
