3 hospitalized after SUV and semi truck collision

The Caribou County Sheriff’s Office reports three individuals were hospitalized after a collision involving an SUV and a semi pulling a trailer at the Hwy 30/Hwy 34 junction Friday around 10:38 a.m.

Officials say the driver of the SUV, Pauline R. Rigby (66) of Grace, Idaho, was traveling northbound on Hwy 34.

The semi, driven by Luis Manuel Govea Lemus (25) of Portland, Oregon and his passenger Manuel Govea Maldonado (60) also of Portland, Oregon was traveling eastbound on Hwy 30.

As the semi approached the intersection, Rigby pulled out northbound across Hwy 30 and the semi and SUV collided.

Air Idaho transported Rigby to Portneuf Medical Center for medical treatment.

Caribou County EMS ground ambulance transported Luis Manual Govea Lemus and Manuel Govea Maldonado to the Caribou Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The traffic collision remains under investigation by the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office.
