ARTitorium hosts first Harvestfest

Kids got a chance to get messy at the ARTitorium on Broadway’s first Harvestfest.

Kids could paint pigs in mud, play with goats, make potato heads and more at Harvestfest. The event is kicking off the ARTitorium’s Ag-October. They expected a couple hundred people to come to the event, but already had about 600 after the first two hours. Event organizers say it is all about getting kids to enjoy art.

“One of the main goals of ARTitorium is for kids to have fun with art, to be creative, to be messy and to really not be intimidated by it,” said Georgina Goodlander, visual arts director or the Idaho Falls Arts Council. “So, it is so much fun to see kids just playing and loving everything about being creative here today.”

The ARTitorium will have agriculture themed projects all October so be sure to take your kids and check it out.
