Brake for Breakfast promotes breast cancer awareness

Ladies, start your engines and plan on leaving a little earlier for work or your other activities Wednesday morning.

It’s the annual Brake for Breakfast event at several area hospitals.

The free drive-through event is getting the message of breast health out to women in a fun, fast way.

The goal is to remind women to do monthly breast self-exams, schedule yearly mammograms and to take the steps needed to take care of themselves.

You will receive a healthy breakfast, information about breast cancer awareness and a bag of goodies.

Events are taking place starting at 6:15 a.m. at Portneuf Medical Center and at 7 a.m. at Bingham Memorial Hospital and Madison Memorial Hospital.

Next Wednesday on October 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. is Mountain View Hospital, Teton Cancer Institute, and Rosemark Women’s Health “Brake For The Cure.”

850 pink bags filled with breakfast items and a $45 discounted mammogram coupon will be handed out.
