Rexburg Police Lieutenant completes FBI Academy training

Rexburg Police Lieutenant Colin Erickson graduated from the 273rd FBI National Academy at Quanitico, Virginia this fall.

Erickson has been with the Rexburg Police Department since 1993 and served in a variety of capacities. He is currently overseeing the department’s Community Policing Division.

Erickson was among 228 officers from 48 states, 25 nations, military and federal officers who were in this year’s 10-week academy class. The training includes advance communications, leadership, and fitness training.

Rexburg has sent nine officers to the National Academy. A total of 51,270 graduates have attended since the academy began in 1935.
