Idaho Falls considers glass recycling program

The City of Idaho Falls provides collection locations for recycling and is now considering a proposal from Momentum Recycling of Salt Lake City, Utah for recycling glass.

If approved, the city would place glass recycling receptacles at all 13 drop off recycling locations within city limits.

Glass would then be collected by the city and hauled to a storage location.

Once 40 tons of glass is accumulated, it would go to the glass recycling center in Salt Lake City.

No word yet on when a decision will be made.
