New contract brings Portneuf emergency doctors into Blue Cross network

Blue Cross of Idaho and Portneuf emergency room physicians have reached a contract agreement to bring Rocky Mountain Physicians Group into the insurance company network.

The contract only applied to the emergency room physician component of a patient visit. All other aspects of service provided by Portneuf Health Partners, including labs, imaging, and inpatient services were and are still in network with Blue Cross.

“During this process we have focused on patient care and that will continue,” said Dan Ordyna, Portneuf CEO. “As a Level II Trauma Center we depend on high-level emergency care from physicians who have been dedicated to our community for decades. That service and expertise now continues uninterrupted. We are grateful for the diligence from RMPG and Blue Cross of Idaho to come to an equitable agreement.”
