UPDATE:

An underground gas leak was noticed around 1 p.m. Tuesday and the bank was evacuated a short time later.

The bank was the only business affected.

Customers of the Grand Teton Mall were encouraged to use the west entrance until the line was repaired.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Wells Fargo Bank at South 25th East, near Red Robin Restaurant, was evacuated at around 1:38 p.m. Tuesday after people reported the smell of natural gas.

According to initial reports, crews were digging across the street from the bank on 25th Street, which may have been the cause of the problem.
