Motorcycle dealership holds food drive

For the next month, Chester’s Grand Teton Harley-Davidson in Idaho Falls is holding its second Harley-Harvest “Ride for the Drive.”

The motorcycle dealership is teaming up with the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket to run a non-perishable food drive.

If you donate, you will get a ticket for a raffle.

There are three different raffle prizes that have items from the store and other local businesses, like Papa Tom’s Pizza and Tap-N-Fill.

“If your ride in on your motorcycle, we don’t care what you ride,” said Nikki Egbert, the marketing director at Chester’s Grand Teton. “Come in, donate, we will double your tickets. Or if you test ride a motorcycle with your donation, then we will double your tickets as well.”

The “Ride for the Drive” lasts until November 17.

The store will be celebrating that day with some homemade chili and cornbread from the local HOG chapter. The raffle will happen at 3 p.m.

November 10, all military and first responders, active and veterans with a valid I.D., will receive double the tickets with their donations, in honor of Veteran’s Day.

Chester’s Grand Teton is hoping to beat last year’s total of one ton of food.
