Video shows mother abandon 2-year-old on stranger’s doorstep
Police located the family of a toddler who was abandoned on the doorstep of a Texas home Wednesday night.
Surveillance video shows a woman rush up to the home carrying the two-year-old boy.
She knocked and rang the doorbell, before running back to her vehicle, leaving the child standing there.
The resident came to the door to find the boy, then called 9-1-1.
Police identified the boy as two-year-old Royal Prince Simmons.
On Thursday morning they located his father, who lives next door.
The child was not harmed.
Child Protective Services took custody of the boy until he could be reunited with his family.
The identity of the woman in the video isn’t yet clear.
