Man rescued from Snake River

A 21-year old man was rescued from the Snake River at around 9:39 a.m. Monday.

Idaho Falls Police say the man entered the water along the Green Belt near the Visitor Center. The man was able to climb onto some rocks in the river.

A swift-water rescue team was dispatched, and the man was able to walk onto the boat.

The man is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police say this is the second time this past week alone, someone has slipped and fallen into the Snake River.
