Warbonnet Rodeo boasts successful year

Final accounting indicates 2018 was a successful year for the War Bonnet Rodeo.

Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Director Greg Weitzel reported over 15,000 people from four countries and 17 states attended the event.

The rodeo boasted over $245,000 in sponsorships and $124,000 in prize money, including the state’s richest wild horse race, with an $18,000 purse.

Weitzel said there were 498 contestants registered for the rodeo events this year.
