Woman succumbed to injuries after crash

UPDATE 10/26/18 12:30 p.m. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reports a 43-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival at the hospital Thursday after a crash at 97th S. and 1st E.

Deputies identified the woman as Misty Young.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Toyota pickup driven by a 40-year-old male was northbound on 1st E. and collided with a Chevy pickup that was westbound driven by Young.

She had to be extricated from the vehicle and later succumbed to her injuries at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Officials said the male from the Toyota was transported by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Deputies are continuing to investigate this crash and were assisted on scene by Idaho State Police and the Idaho Falls Police.

UPDATE: 2:42 p.m.

According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, the white pickup was westbound and appeared to have missed a stop sign. The driver of the Tundra was northbound and collided with the pickup in the intersection.

A female passenger, believed to be in her 20’s, was in a white pickup. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of a Tundra was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

The crash happened at around 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Investigation is continuing.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and the Idaho Falls Fire Department is investigating a crash at 9727 S 1st East.

Officials report at least one person has been transported by an ambulance.
