Your Health Idaho open enrollment begins Thursday

People who count on Your Health Idaho for health insurance are reminded that open enrollment for new plans begins this Thursday, November 1 and ends on December 15 for coverage that starts on January 1, 2019.

People who are already enrolled will be renewed in similar plans for 2019 but may make changes during the open enrollment period.

Your Health Idaho executive director Pat Kelly says the 293 health and dental plans being offered this year will see an average five percent rate increase. People who earn between $25,000 and $100,000 per year are eligible for tax credits. Kelly said most people are eligible for tax credits that can save up to 80 percent, on average, on the cost of a health care plan.

Your Health Idaho will host an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on November 15 at the Idaho Falls Public Library. Trained experts will be on hand to help people navigate to the plan that might be best for them or their families.
