Pocatello Police crack down on CBD Oil compliance

Pocatello Police say Idaho State Police labs have determined the CBD Oil being sold at Katz Formal Wear in Pocatello contains too much THC to comply with state law. According to city officials, store owner Katrina Evans has been issued a warning and ordered to remove the oil from her store and return it to her distributor.

Police learned recently that CBD Oil and other similar products derived from Cannabis plants have been offered for sale in the city. Some of the products labeled as containing 0 percent THC do contain some level of THC.

Police said under Idaho law, the presence of THC, in any amount, is illegal to sell, possess, or consume. They say it is the police department’s policy to actively investigate reports of illegal activity and pursue criminal charges when warranted, including businesses or individuals who may have purchased illegal products.
