Student charged after threatening violence at school via social media

Bingham Academy officials notified the Blackfoot Police Department that a student threatened violence at the school via posts on social media Tuesday at 7:50 a.m.

The Blackfoot Police Department immediately responded and took a 15-year-old male juvenile into custody.

He is being charged with threatening violence upon school grounds and is currently being held at the 3B Detention Facility.
