1 person dead, 1 hospitalized after motorhome rollover

UPDATE 6:15 p.m. Idaho State Police reports one person died and another was transported to the hospital by air ambulance after a crash on Interstate 15 at mile marker 178, just south of Spencer around 1:53 p.m.According to ISP, Norman Hill, 78, of Ardrossan, Alberta, Canada, was driving southbound in 2014 Monaco Dynasty Motorhome when the vehicle went off the right shoulder and rolled.

Hill succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and Hill’s passenger, Elanor Hill, 79, of Ardossan, Alberta, Canada, was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Officials say it is unknown if seatbelts were worn.

Next of kin have been notified, and this crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

All lanes of travel are now open.

ISP says the left lane of travel is open, and the right lane is still blocked.
