Blackfoot mourns city fire marshal
The Blackfoot Fire Department and the community of Blackfoot is mourning the death of Fire Marshal Benjamin Hirschi.
Hirschi died Monday at the age of 39. The cause of his death was not announced.
Services will be held Monday, November 19 at 11 a.m. in the Alameda Stake Center, at 930 E. Alameda Road, in Pocatello.
His family will receive friends Sunday, November 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Home.
Idaho Falls Fire Department firefighters have volunteered to cover the Blackfoot fire stations on Monday so Hirschi’s fellow firefighters may attend the funeral.
