Idaho Falls Dog Park gets donation

Idaho Falls Dog Park is expected to get some new improvements.

The city of Idaho Falls received a $100,000 donation from the William J. and Shirley A. Maeck Family Foundation at last night’s City Council meeting. Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation Department said the money will go towards upgrades and improvements to help make the dog park better.

“It’s amazing,” said P.J. Holm, recreation superintendent for the Idaho Fall Parks and Recreation Department. “A dog park is something that is one of the biggest trends right now for growing cities. One of the things we’re really hoping for is to be able to make this into the best dog park in the state of Idaho.”
