Victor hires planning director

The Victor City Council has unanimously confirmed Ryan Krueger as Planning and Zoning Director.

For the past two and a half years, Krueger has been city planner in Troutdale, Oregon. His duty there focused on long-range issues, including town-center planning, urban growth, flood plain management and hazard mitigation.

Mayor Jeff Potter said the council was very deliberate in its search. “Mr. Krueger brings to the table the level of experience, innovation, and professionalism we’ve been after. It’s been a long time coming and we’re looking forward to him joining our team,” said Potter.

Krueger completed research on housing affordability in western U.S. resort communities and expects to receive professional planning credentials in early 2019.

Krueger’s duties in Victor will begin January 2.

“I am excited to bring my passion for planning to the City of Victor, and to call Teton Valley, with all its natural amenities, home, said Krueger.

Local Planner Ashley Koehler has been contracted to process applications received in the Planning and Zoning Department and begin a six-month code review until Krueger takes the helm.
