Temporary traffic signal going up at Curr Canal

The Idaho Transportation Department says to expect travel delays at the Curr Canal bridge replacement on US-20 as crews will be placing temporary traffic signals on both directions of travel.

“Due to safety concerns of the current traffic volume and several near misses that have occurred at this bridge, we are going to alter the traffic control and add a temporary traffic signal to alleviate the concerns at hand,” said ITD Engineering Manager Drew Meppen. “The roadway will allow one lane of traffic that will be controlled by a signal on each direction of the work zone.”

The traffic signal will be effective immediately and is expected to remain in place until construction is complete.
