Idaho Falls man arrested after stolen vehicle recovered with illegal items inside

Idaho Falls Police say an 18-year-old Idaho Falls resident was arrested Friday after police recovered a stolen vehicle with several illegal items inside.

Police were patrolling the area of 3rd Street and South Boulevard around 1:00 a.m. when they saw a vehicle that had no license plates displayed.

The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the vehicle fled from the officer. The officer did not pursue but saw that the vehicle left tracks in the fresh snow. The officer followed the tracks and located the vehicle abandoned near 13th Street and South Boulevard.

The officer spoke to two males standing near the car who were not involved.

Multiple officers helped follow footprints from the car to an address in the 1500 block of Curtis Avenue.

Kayden M. Fisher was located in a residence. He was arrested for receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle (Idaho code 49-228) possession of a controlled substance, suspected methamphetamines (37-2732(c)(1), fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement (Idaho code 49-1404), possession of a controlled substance, suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (Idaho code 37-2734A).

Police determined the vehicle was stolen from Caldwell, Idaho. It was impounded and several items that are illegal to possess were found inside.
