Several arrested after search warrant sweep

Several people were arrested after the Idaho Falls and Bonneville County Special Investigations Unit along with the Idaho Falls Police Department served a search warrant in the 200 block of I street around 5:35 p.m. Friday.

As part of the investigation, police were advised to watch for a wanted parolee out of California that was possibly at the house.

Police were able to make contact with 36-year-old Daniel N. Porter of Idaho Falls and arrested him for the California parole violation warrant.

Several people who were also inside the house during the service of the search warrant were also arrested.

27-year-old Carlee N. Pina of Idaho Falls was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, suspected methamphetamines, (Idaho code 37-2732(a)(1)(A)) possession of a controlled substance suspected heroin(Idaho code 37-2732(a)(1)(A)), as well as frequenting a place where drugs are used (Idaho code 37- 2732(d)) and possession of drug paraphernalia (Idaho code 37-2734B).

27-year-old Amber L. Nez of Idaho Falls was arrested for frequenting a place where drugs are used (Idaho code 37-2732(d)), possession of a controlled substance, suspected marijuana (Idaho code 37-2732(a)(1)(A)) and destruction of evidence (Idaho code 18-2603).

30-year-old Juan J. Monzon was arrested for trafficking heroin (Idaho code 37-2732B(a)(6)(D)), possession of a controlled substance, suspected marijuana (Idaho code 37-2732(a)(1)(A)) and frequenting a place where drugs are used (Idaho code 37-2732(d)).
