BYU-Idaho commencement scheduled

Brigham Young University-Idaho plans to graduate 2,505 students at its 2018 Fall Semester Commencement Wednesday, December 19.

The university plans to award 1,973 bachelor’s degrees and 559 associate degrees. 1,501 graduates are women. Campus-based students make up 1,837 of the fall semester graduates, while 670 are online students. 458 of the graduates started their college careers as Pathway Connect students.

Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be the featured commencement speaker. Prior to his calling as a full-time General Authority Christofferson was associate general counsel of Nations Bank Corporation (Bank of America). From 1972 to 1974 her seved as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge John Sirica during the “Watergate” trials.

Commencement is scheduled at 5:45 p.m., December 19 in the BYU-Idaho Center in Rexburg.
