Rexburg, St. Anthony launch snow removal plans

Rexburg drivers are reminded that the city’s overnight parking ordinance takes effect Saturday, December 15.

Under the law, all overnight parking on all city streets is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. throughh March 1st. The ordinance is intended to make it easier for snow removal crews to work on city streets.

Those who do not follow the law could be cited. Their car may also be towed to city impound lots, leaving the owners with impound costs and daily storage fees.

The city of St. Anthony, meanwhile, has announced that its snow removal operations will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. People are asked to move their vehicles off of city streets.
